St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, formally the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George, is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Southwark, which covers the London boroughs south of the Thames, the county of Kent and the Medway Unitary Authority.

Music
St George's Cathedral has a well-established musical tradition, with a diversity of styles represented at the different Masses, ranging from congregational hymns and Mass settings at the 10am Family Mass sung by the Cathedral Consort youth choir, through plainsong and polyphony at the 12pm Solemn Mass sung by the Cathedral Choir of choristers and lay clerks. There is also a Junior Choir for younger children and the Cathedral runs the Southwark Singing Programme.

Variations Choir FREE concert

Variations Choir FREE concert for the Parish:

We are delighted to welcome Variations choir visiting from Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, next Wednesday 11 March for a 6pm FREE concert. This student group features first and second year university students who are excited to visit London for a series of performances. Music will include sacred selections to help observe the Lent season. Please come along and join the audience.
